Art You Grew Up With

Currently celebrating our 13th year of connecting fans with the art they
love, we at Art You Grew Up With remain passionately committed to
providing our customers with a unique and irresistible shopping experience.
We love what we do and we share your enthusiasm. Whether browsing or buying
you're always welcome to swing by the store and stay for a chat.

Everything we sell is hand picked for quality, the best original cels,
sketches and concept art in the world. We also commission lots of great
gallery exclusives, from giant pop art canvasses to limited edition
lithographs - and they're just a taste of the treasures in store. Whoever
you're into, be it Mickey Mouse or Homer Simpson, Jack Skellington or Thomas
The Tank Engine, you'll find them all here waiting for you.

Art You Grew Up With is owned and run by Russell Singler, an animation
superfan since the tender age of five, when his parents took him to see The
Jungle Book. At twelve they bought him his first cel, an original Baloo, and
like the bat that inspired Bruce Wayne to fight crime as the mysterious
Batman, seeing the cel on his bedroom wall inspired Russell to dedicate his
life to buying and selling animation art. It was, he says, a magical moment.

Rising through the ranks of the Disney stores from annoying door guy to
manager, Russell spent ten months working in a North London gallery before
striking out to establish the one place in England where fans can
get together to talk about, appreciate and maybe even buy some art. That's
us.

We're particularly proud of our special events and have hosted more than
forty over the past decade. When the delightful Yeardley Smith
(voice of Lisa Simpson) charmed our collectors at the gallery, she made
it a day few would forget, when the lovely Nancy Cartwright (the voice of Bart
Simpson) visited the gallery, more than two and half thousand of you came along to
see her. Wallace and Gromit's Nick Park, Peter Lord and Peter Sallis also
drew an incredible crowd. We've had Gerald Scarfe come in to talk about The
Wall, David Jason and Brian Cosgrove wax lyrical about Danger Mouse, and
really we're just getting started. Check in on us regularly to ensure you
don't miss anything.

We'll hook you up with the art of your dreams, frame it how you like it, and
with our layaway plan splitting the cost of any purchase over several
months, nothing we sell is out of reach.

Here is just a small taste of what you will see when you come visit us at our showroom at The London Film Museum in County Hall.
