This is a great piece! Totally unique this is a drawing of the gang by legenday Hanna Barbera artist and layout director, Boob Singer Bob started his career in 1956 at Warner Bros. Studios working with the animation units of Friz Freleng, Chuck Jones and Bob McKimson. In the space of two years he completed three hour-long storyboards and painted the backgrounds for nine theatrical cartoons. Singer felt he was in “animation heaven.” Bob then moved to UPA to become a full-time layout artist where he worked on Mr. Magoo, Dick Tracy and the feature-length cartoon, “Gay Puree.” In 1964 Singer joined the team at Hanna-Barbera and worked on layouts and backgrounds for the adventure-style series, “Jonny Quest.” He remained at HB Studios for 26 years and contributed to the success of Secret Squirrel, Space Ghost, Hillbilly Bears, Squiddley Diddley, the Herculoids, the Fantastic Four, Scooby-Doo and The Flintstones. He was promoted to Head of Layout at Hanna-Barbera after Iwao Takamoto advanced in his own career. Three years later Singer headed up the newly created Design Department. This area incorporated merchandising and publicity, plus character and background design | ||
