What a blast from the past! This great edition is one of the very early limited edition releases from Batman the Animated Series.

The piece is made up of a hand painted cel over a giclee background recreating the storyboards used in the making of an episode of this classic series.

Running from 1992 – 1995, Batman The Animated Series broke the mould for superhero animation. Focusing on the darker aspect of the original comics and remaining true to the source material, BTAS appealed to fans of all ages and coined the phrase “Dark Deco” to describe the bleak brooding cityscape backgrounds that bought the show to life.

The process of Animation is often a collaborative effort. The evidence of this can often be seen in the long credits at the end of most animated shorts and films.

Whilst only the most talented and skilled artisans would be employed by the studios, it is often difficult to attribute the corresponding artist to the exact piece of artwork we offer.

We therefore credit this artwork as being created by a Studio Artist, acknowledging their skill and talent bringing joy to collectors around the world.
