A Cars Toon; Mater's Tall Tales (A Cars Toon for short) is an animated short series by Pixar featuring the characters Mater and Lightning McQueen from the film Cars. The shorts air on Disney Channel, Toon Disney, and ABC Family, with their first broadcast was on October 27, 2008. Not exclusive to television, they have also premiered as theatrical shorts, such as with the 2008 film Bolt.

The process of Animation is often a collaborative effort. The evidence of this can often be seen in the long credits at the end of most animated shorts and films.
