A brilliant limited edition created from the original artwork used in the making of the special commemorative Jubilee episode. In the episode, Peppa's friend, Miss Rabbit, is selected to receive an award for her hard work and brings along her friends to Buckingham Palace for her once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Queen's appearance marks the first time a human character has featured in the series.

The episode screens on Channel 5's Milkshake! on June 4 and is released on DVD

There is also a book based on the episode, entitled Peppa Meets The Queen, published by Ladybird, and at May 28th 2012, is the number 1 picture book in the UK!

Peppa Pig producer Phil Davies said: ‘As a British production, it's only fitting that Peppa Pig pays tribute to the Queen and we couldn't resist the opportunity to put her into the show.

‘We hope that everyone enjoys watching the episode as much as we enjoyed making it and that it gets children into the Jubilee party spirit.’

We're thrilled that Phil and the character's co-creators Mark Baker and Neville Astley have signed this special edition.

Buckingham Palace sources told the Mail that the Queen was ‘aware’ of the cartoon and had been sent an advance copy of the show in which she stars.

Astley Baker Davies are the Producers and Creators of Peppa Pig the pre-school animation series. To date 104 episodes and one TV Special have been made and the studio is currently in production on more episodes to be aired in 2009.

Astley Baker Davies are presently in production on another children's animation series, Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom which will be first first aired in 2009 on Nick Jr UK and channels around the world.

Neville Astley and Mark Baker created and directed the BBC television series The Big Knights (Award for Best Television Series, Annecy 2001). At present (2009) there are plans afoot to release the entire 13 episodes of The Big Knights, remastered in Widescreen format on DVD and in HD 1080p.

Neville Astley and Mark Baker have been collaborating since 1994, on commercials, title sequences and short films, including Jolly Roger.

Neville Astley's short film Trainspotter, co-directed with Jeff Newitt, was nominated for a BAFTA® and won the Edinburgh Festival’s McLaren Award.

Phil Davies produced Six of One (BAFTA® Nominated in 2001), Donkey Town, Emma 18 and Home.

Mark Baker’s short films, The Hill Farm, The Village and Jolly Roger have all been Oscar® nominated and have won major awards around the world, including a BAFTA® award and the Annecy Grand Prix (for The Hill Farm).
