This is the original production cel and the hand painted background actually used in an episode of Scooby Doo. Otherwise known as a KEY SETUP, there can only be one setup like this for any scene. So...rare! This is part of a hand picked collection of fantastic Scooby Artwork, that will only be with us for a very short period of time, so grab it while you can! The legendary Iwao Takamoto sadly passed away this year. He was responsible for the design and look of the early Scooby Doo series, and actually did the pitch to CBS in 1969! Takamoto was a Japanese-born American animator, television producer, and film director. He was most famous for being a production designer for Hanna-Barbera Productions, and for designing the characters for Hanna-Barbera's most popular show, Scooby-Doo. Other programs he has deisnged for include Josie and the Pussycats, Help! It's the Hair Bear Bunch, SuperFriends, Wacky Races, and The Cattanooga Cats. Later, Takamoto became a producer at Hanna-Barbera, supervising shows such as The Addams Family, Hong Kong Phooey, and Jabberjaw.
